The Equity Analyst will be responsible for the creation, curation and communication of valuable insights for investment managers primarily using the Exabel platform. Duties will be focused on proving and demonstrating value for fundamental audiences in a wide variety of alternative datasets sourced from Exabel’s data partners. This role is based in USA out of our New York office. The successful applicant will be expected to travel to our New York office on occasion.
Core responsibilities:
- Develop and own framework for identifying fundamental value in alternative datasets sourced from Exabel’s data partners, with a particular focus on analyzing and modelling companies’ KPIs
- Become an expert user of the Exabel platform for surfacing insights from alternative data in a way that is valued by fundamental investment teams
- Prepare research reports and other content on Exabel platform use cases
- Assist buy-side clients in alternative data projects, and facilitate effective use and in-depth understanding of the Exabel platform
- Provide feedback on Exabel platform functionality
Qualifications / Skills:
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills
- Ability to think like a fundamental manager and understand a wide range of industries
- Ability to communicate ideas and information effectively
- Experience working with alternative data
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
Education and Experience Requirements:
Degree in Economics, Finance or a related field
5-plus years of experience as an analyst on the buy-side, sell-side, or similar
