Since June, we have had the pleasure of having four fantastic student interns at our offices in Oslo:
- Benjamin Buan is studying Industrial Economics at NTNU. He also beat the entire Exabel team in blitz chess at our summer party ðŸ˜
- Markus Skagemo is studying Electronics System Design and Innovation at NTNU, and has a strong interest in finance.
- Keith Zhou is studying Stochastic Modelling and Data Analysis at the University of Oslo. He specialises in mathematical finance, but also holds a master’s degree in English Language and Literature.
- Håvard Bjørnøy is studying Computer Science at NTNU. Before arriving at Exabel, he spent six months at EPFL in Switzerland.
The four have been working on two research projects together with our Data Science and Mathematics teams.
Benjamin, Markus and Keith have been working on analysing web traffic data, and investigating how the data can be used to predict stock prices, sales, and other key performance indicators.
HÃ¥vard has been working on building a model for shortening text into meaningful summaries.
We are pleased to have had the company of these dedicated students throughout the summer, and we wish them the best of luck with the rest of their studies!
