Exabel is excited to announce the addition of two new datasets from Sandalwood Advisors, a leading provider of alternative data for Asian markets. The ‘China Department Store’ and ‘China Supermarket’ datasets are now available on our platform.
The ‘China Department Store’ dataset covers over 200 department store groups and more than 2,000 individual department stores in mainland China, across tier 1, 2, and 3 cities.
The ‘China Supermarket’ dataset is collected monthly from SKU level sales data from over 300 supermarket chain groups, encompassing more than 40,000+ standalone stores across 280+ cities and towns in 30 provinces. Data is extrapolated at the provincial level to represent the entire country, and is aggregated to brand/sub-brand and category levels, ensuring individual supermarket data remains confidential.
Delivered monthly to the Exabel platform, the ‘China Department Store’ and ‘China Supermarket’ datasets have historical data back until 2019 for backtesting.
The 2 new datasets expands on Sandalwood’s alternative datasets integrated with Exabel, now totalling 8 different datasets, which include: ‘China Card Transactions’, ‘JD E-commerce Transactions’, ‘Pinduoduo E-commerce Transactions’, ‘South Korea Exports’, ‘South Korea Card Transactions’ and Tmall E-commerce Transactions’.
